Power in Praise

Faith without works is dead. Our faith requires action. There may be times where what we are asking God for can only be accomplished by Him—such as a healing, a change of heart, or a vision to be manifested. But, even in times like these, our faith in God’s Word requires works—open your mouth and praise Him! “Hallelujah! Glory to Your name, Lord, for who You are and what You do. Thank You, Father. I bless Your name.”

What we confess with our mouths has power!! Speak life into your circumstance. Speak healing. Speak breakthrough. Speak protection. Speak love. Today, pour out from your heart with the help of the Holy Spirit. Sing praises to your Lord and Savior! For, His thoughts are always on us and He is always working towards good for those who know and receive Him. Hallelujah, thank You, Jesus!!

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” -Jeremiah 29:11

His Promises Never Come Up Short

If you ever question if God is true to His promises, think about a rainbow. It appears after ever rainstorm—whether you physically see it or not, it is there without fail. God has kept that covenant for thousands of years. He has been consistent, making sure it appears to remind us of His promise to us and earth long ago. The same effort He puts into making a rainbow appear in the clouds after every storm is the same effort He puts into making His promise to you manifest in your life. That is dedication and love. That is our God.

The Blessing of Time

When we focus too much attention on time, it opens the doors for doubt and worry to creep in. We begin doubting the words that God has already spoken and worrying about when, what, and where something will happen. It’s ironic because we cannot control time—it is not in our hands. But yet, we try to control it, dictate it, manipulate it, and enforce it. For instance, I could tell God, “Lord, now is the perfect time for me to start a relationship.

Everything in my life is going good and I have the time for it.“ But, in reality, I don’t know for a fact if this is the perfect time to obtain what I desire. God is the only One who sees all and knows all and that is why He is the perfect handler of time.

We can focus so much on what’s not happening that we lose sight of what is happening right now. Time is never empty—it is always full of something to do, to learn from, to experience, to give, or to receive. Instead of complaining about time and how it isn’t providing what we want, we should value time and the opportunities it provides to give us the things we need.

Lord, thank you for time. Even though I may not always know what to do with it, You do and by Your Grace You instruct me on how to use my time wisely daily. Lord, I want to use my time in a way that always brings you glory. Thank You for blessing me with this time, right now, right this second, right this moment. In Jesus name, Amen.
