1 John 5:4 – “For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.” (NLT) When I first accepted Christ, I believed I was walking into a problem-free life. As long as I kept doing the right things, everything would be alright and I wouldn’t have to suffer. But, as life went on, I came to realized that this was not completely true. Being a child of God doesn't mean that all your problems are forever gone. We live in a fallen world, and because we are not perfect, we have to fight our flesh daily. We have an enemy who is trying to steal, kill, and destroy everything we have. Hence, we are going to go through some stuff. But, Jesus promises us victory over our troubles and our battles. In John 16:33, He says, "In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” Jesus loved us so much that He died for our sins, and now, we have the power to overcome anything in this world. We have a guarantee that we will come out on the other side of our storms victorious. We have a God who is always with us and willing to fight our battles for us. We have a promise of restoration. There will always be trials we must go through, but they are meant to build us, not break us. They are meant for victory, not defeat. They are meant for God’s glory, not our shame. No matter what you are going through, don’t give up or give in. Hold on to your faith, weather the storm, and claim your victory. God will be with you through your trials and tribulations. (Psalm 23:4, Joshua 1:5) God will fight the battle for you. (Deuteronomy 20:4) God promises restoration. (1 Peter 5:10) God will get the Glory. (1 Peter 4:12-13) #Victory #LivingThroughHope
