I needed to remind myself of this today...sharing it just in case you need a little reminder too.

When you don't have anything else to lean on, lean on Jesus. He can handle all of your weight. He desires to show up for you when you are weak.

When you don't have the motivation, endurance, fight, or strength to keep going, God will provide you with His supply.

When you don't feel like you have a purpose, or you reason or why isn't good enough anymore, make Jesus your reason.

Remember Elijah (1 Kings 19). He was tired, exhausted, disheartened, lonely, depressed. But God provided him everything he needed to keep going on his journey and his calling. God doesn't get mad when you don't have the energy to refuel yourself, or when you don't have the heart to keep going. He knows you can't handle it all on your own. He knows you need His provisions, and He's happy to give them to you.

Use Him. Lean on Him. Make Him the reason you keep going.

"Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will take care of you." -Psalm 55:22

Remember your history with God. Reflect on who He has been and what He has done throughout your life. He has done great things for you and within you — don’t forget!

Give Him honor and praise where it’s due so you don’t forget how far He’s brought you, so you don’t lose heart in the place He has you in now, and so you can continue hoping and believing in what He will bring in your future.

Keep record in your heart of all the things He’s done for you. Take note of the things you missed or didn’t see before. Hold on to the new wisdom and knowledge from your experiences and growth.

You will see that God has always been there and has always been working for you. You will find that you’ve come a long way. You will discover that you can be an inspiration and source of encouragement to others. You will see the beauty God has created out of your hurt, your losses, and your pain.

You will see the times where He lifted you up and carried you to victory! You will see how He used everything to make you the person you are today.

You will see how much He is in love with you.

Never forget that you and God have history.

Sometimes, we ponder whether we should take the short cut to get the things we want or desire faster. But, if we take the short cut, we usually risk losing something important or delaying what God wanted to give us in the first place. Don’t doubt what He has for you and don’t get discouraged with His timing of getting it to you. What God has for you will satisfy for eternity. He knows what will truly fulfill you. He knows what will bring you joy. He knows what will prosper you. He knows the best and right time for you to receive it. Waiting on the Lord for His promises is not always fun, but it’s always rewarding in the end. Anything that comes from Him is worth it and worth waiting for. The best things in life come from the hand of the Lord. Wait on them.
